Two teams from Göttingen successful at NWERC’16

On [2016-11-20 Sun] the “North-West European Regional Contest” (NWERC 2016: http://www.nwerc.eu/) took place in Bath, England. As much as 114 top teams from Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands competed for the best computer solutions to 11 hard problems. In the German qualification round two teams from Göttingen Fakultät für Mathematik und Informatik qualified for this IBM and J.P. Morgan sponsored programming contest. They both did a really, really good job:

Team Gauss
  • took place 21 among 114 top teams! and
  • 5th among the 48 participating German teams!
Team _qsln
  • took place 48 among 114 top teams! and
  • 14th among the German teams!
